Lidia Garrido Sanz

Lidia Garrido-Sanz graduated in Biology at the Universitat de Girona in 2010. In 2016, Dr Garrido-Sanz joined the Department of Computer and Operating Systems Architecture at Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she obtained the International PhD in Bioinformatics. Fundamentally, her research focused on the application of molecular-based methods for the assessment of Metazoan species from DNA samples. She performed part of this research in the Australian Antarctic Division, Tasmania (AUS).

Her interest on the application of bioinformatics for solving biological queries and problems led her to join GREC team at IrsiCaixa as bioinformatician.
