Jon Izquierdo Pujol

Jon was born in Barcelona in 1999. He studied Biotechnology at the University of Barcelona (UB) and the MSc in Advanced Immunology at the same university. During the bachelor, he did a stay in the group of Reproductive Biotechnology at the Tecnische Universität München (TUM) where he developed his bachelor thesis about γδ T cells in chickens. In September 2021 he joined the Retrovirology and Clinical Studies group (GREC), led by Javier Martinez-Picado, as a master student working to unravel the biological mechanisms underlying long COVID in children and adolescents. Now is currently working as a pre-doctoral researcher in the same topic.
