Ferran Abancó i Espuga

Ferran was born in Molins de Rei (Barcelona). He studied the Biomedical Sciences degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a MSc in Advanced Immunology at the University of Barcelona (UB). During his studies, he worked as a student researcher in IBB-UAB for three years focusing on the analysis of the TCR repertoire in peripheral blood and in infiltrating T lymphocytes in breast cancer. In September 2022, he joined the Virology and Cellular Immunology group (VIC), led by Julià Blanco, as a PhD student to work on the generation of synthetic antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 and emerging diseases.
