Elena Lapaz Lorenzo holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a Master's in Scientific, Medical, and Environmental Communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). During her academic career, she participated in research projects in pharmacology and microbiology, gaining a solid foundation in biomedical research.
After completing her Master's, she began her career in scientific communication at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) as a Communication Technician. There, she created content for the El·lipse magazine, managed the center's digital communication, and coordinated outreach activities for schools and families.
Since July 2020, Elena has been part of the communication team at IrsiCaixa, where she works on both external and internal communication, ensuring the visibility and impact of the center's research.
