Cristina Benitez Rodríguez graduated in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona) in 2019 and obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Research (UPF) in 2020. Over the next three years, she embarked on a project in the Cell signaling, ubiquitin and cancer group in IBMB-CSIC that ignited her interest in oncological immunotherapy, focusing on the reprogramming tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and tumor cells to boost tumor immunosensitivity.
Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate under the supervision of Dra. Nuria de la Iglesia in NeoVaCan group, and focuses on the identification of neoantigens and developing cancer vaccines based on these molecules.
