Anna Pons Grifols
Anna graduated in Biomedical Sciences at University of Barcelona (UB) in 2018, followed by a MSc in Immunology and Inflammatory Diseases at University of Glasgow (Scotland) in 2019. During this periods, she realized stays in CRSA-INSERM (Paris, France) for her bachelor thesis and in the VIB-Center for Inflammation Research (Belgium) with an Erasmus+ Traineeship, all in the field of Rheumatic Diseases.
After her master, Anna started as an Animal Technician at Parc de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (PRBB).
She joined IrsiCaixa on March 2021 as an Animal and Laboratory Technician for the Cell Virology and Immunology (VIC) group, led by Dr Julià Blanco. During this period she also collaborated with the Immunology (IgG) group led by Dr. Jorge Carrillo, working in projects focusing on Cancer, HIV and SARS-CoV2. In July 2021, she started as a pre-doctoral researcher in VIC.

Production and Immunogenicity of FeLV Gag-Based VLPs Exposing a Stabilized FeLV Envelope Glycoprotein.
VLPs generated by the fusion of RSV-F or hMPV-F glycoprotein to HIV-Gag show improved immunogenicity and neutralizing response in mice.
Immunization with V987H-stabilized Spike glycoprotein protects K18-hACE2 mice and golden Syrian hamsters upon SARS-CoV-2 infection.
A monoclonal antibody targeting a large surface of the receptor binding motif shows pan-neutralizing SARS-CoV-2 activity.
