Anna Pineda Micola

Anna obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 2022. She then pursued a Master's degree in Biomedicine, specializing in cancer research, at the University of Barcelona (UB), graduating in 2023. Her MSc final thesis with the Cancer Immunotherapy Group at the Institut d’Investigació Biomèdica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL), along with her internship at the Division of Translational Gastrointestinal Immunology at the Technische Universität München (TUM), focused on different approaches to using oncolytic viruses as a cancer therapy.

In May 2024, Anna began her Ph.D. with the Cell Virology and Immunology (VIC) Group at IrsiCaixa, under the supervision of Dr. Julià Blanco and Dr. Carmen Aguilar. She is currently working on a virus-like particles platform project for cancer therapy.
