Ana Gervassi
Ana is an accomplished research scientist and program manager with over 15 years of experience in immunology, vaccine and adjuvant discovery, T cell exhaustion, and cell-based assay development. Ana earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France, and her Master’s and PhD degrees from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
She has dedicated her career to advancing the understanding of human immunology in both private and academic sectors. Her extensive expertise includes T cell antigen discovery, T cell immunology, and the development of assays to measure specific T cell responses in adults, infants, and, more recently, canine specimens, using multiparameter flow cytometry and functional assays.
Ana has successfully managed international and multicenter clinical studies, overseeing operations, training, SOP development, data analysis, and budgets. Beyond her research, Ana is deeply committed to education and mentorship. She has developed curricula, trained students in immunology and global infectious disease fields, and served as the CFAR Immunology Core Subdirector at the University of Washington.
As part of the TRIA group, Ana will continue making transformative contributions to understanding the immune correlates of Long COVID.
