La revista Antiviral Research, la publicación oficial de la Sociedad Internacional para la Investigación Antiviral (ISAR), ha editado un número especial sobre los 25 años del desarrollo de los fármacos antiretrovirales. Uno de los editores de la revista ha sido José Esté, investigador de IrsiCaixa y responsable del grupo de investigación sobre Entrada Viral y patogénesis.
